KLEZMERPUNK

Mal aggressiv, mal melancholisch, mal sentimental - der „Klezmer-Punk“ des Trio Igra steckt die Spannbreite ab, in der eine knarzende Akustikklampfe, eine frohlockende Melodika und eine launische Geige um höchste Aufmerksamkeit rangeln. Zwischendurch viel Posen und Toben in schlabbrigen Jogginganzügen und roten Pumps, verkaterte Akkordfolgen und unerschrockene Nonsenslaute aus aufgeblähten Backen frei nach dem Motto: „Früher war alles besser, aber auch nach der Glühbirne wird es noch Licht geben.“

Sometimes aggressive, other times melancholic or sentimental – the “Klezmer-Punk“ of Trio Igra marks the scope with a rasping acoustic guitar, a jubilant melodika and a moody violin competing for absolute attention. In the meantime a lot of posing and raging dressed in loose-fitting tracksuits and red high heels, hungover successions of chords and fearless nonsensical sounds from inflated cheeks, loosely based on the slogan “Everything was better in the past but there will be light even when the light bulb is gone.“

Mit Melodika, Gitarre und Geige begeben sich Anton Berman, Matthias Bernhold und Julia Brettschneider in die schillernden Sphären des „Klezmerpunk“ – eine neue noch nie gehörte Musik, weder Klezmer noch Punk, dafür aber harmonisch, agressiv, melancholisch, provokativ, sentimental zum Lachen und Hingucken.

Von allem etwas und nichts dergleichen!
Das in Kiew geborene Geschwisterpaar, das sich mit Straßenmusik durch Russland und die Ukraine nach Aachen/Deutschland durchgeschlagen hat, und der in der Schweiz studierte Rumäne präsentieren „Klezmerpunk“ vom Feinsten.
